Female pedestrian in 'serious condition' after she is struck by car

A young woman is in a serious condition after she was struck by a car in Dublin early this morning.
The pedestrian in her twenties collided with the car at Annesley Bridge Road, Dublin 3 shortly before 6.45am.
The woman was taken by ambulance to the Mater Hospital and was later transferred to Beaumont Hospital.
Her condition is understood to be serious, gardai report.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
The scene was examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since reopened to traffic.
Gardaí at Clontarf are now appealing for witnesses to the incident.
