Family of six escape injury after shooting at family home

A family of six has escaped injury in a shooting incident in Twinbrook.

The incident happened in Aspen Walk at around 9.30pm on Thursday.

Police said a shot was fired at the front door of the property causing damage to the door.

A family of six, including a mother, father and four children were in the home at the time.

No one was injured.

Graffiti was also daubed on a nearby fence suggesting the group Action Against Drugs was behind the attack.

Police said all lines of enquiry were being investigated.

Inspector David McBride said: "Three men wearing dark clothing and masks were seen in the area at the time of the incident and I would appeal to anyone who saw these men or who has any information about the incident to contact detectives at Lisburn on 101.

"Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
