This is the face of the man accused of carrying out a vicious assault on a young woman on a Dublin bus.

Detectives are continuing to hunt for the suspect who was captured in a terrifying video clip repeatedly punching the victim in the head.

Gardai said they are yet to make an arrest for the violent random attack, which happened more than two weeks ago.

“Investigations are ongoing,” a spokesman added.

The victim, who is originally from Central America and is in her late 20s, was travelling home with her flatmate from a work function in the city centre when the drama unfolded.

The attack was captured on a shocking video that has gone viral and up to now the man’s face has been blurred.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses to the brutal assaults, which occurred on Wednesday, July 23 on the number 40 bus as it was passing through the Old Village in Kilmainham at approximately 10.15pm.

Two friends had to be taken to St James' Hospital where they were treated overnight for their injuries.

The innocent woman, who has lived in the capital for four years, has said the attack has really affected her view of Dublin and Ireland.

"This attack has really affected my opinion of Ireland, especially in relation to my personal security,” she added.
