EXCLUSIVE: HSE to pay Pieta House €1.5m to take over scandal hit Console

The full operations and staff of the scandal-hit charity Console will be immediately transferred to Pieta House, the HSE will announce this evening.
The HSE has agreed to pay Pieta in the region of €1.5m to take over the services of console for a 12 month period, sources have confirmed to Independent.ie.
The move brings to an end weeks of confusion surrounding the future of Console, its staff and clients.
The details of the decision will be announced by the HSE at 6pm this evening.
The move comes following a series of meetings between ministers Simon Harris, Helen McEntee, HSE bosses and the interim CEO of Console David Hall.
