The Beatles had their own Cavern Club – and the ESB does too for a concert to mark the 40th anniversary of the ESB's Turlough Hill power plant.
Musicians Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill are rehearsing with the Clare Memory Orchestra, in preparation for the gig suitably entitled 'Concert in the Cavern'.
The concert, in the spectacular surroundings of a cavern deep in the Wicklow mountains, is one of a number of activities, including free guided tours, to mark the 40th anniversary of the plant.
Turlough Hill contains Ireland's only "pumped hydro electric storage system" and it took six years to build beginning in 1968.
Guided tours are available during July and August.
They can be booked at http://esb.ie/turloughhill.
