Claudine Keane has revealed she was “shocked” at last weekend’s shooting at a boxing event in the capital’s Regency Hotel, which was attended by several young children.
The model and wife of footballer Robbie Keane admitted she was upset by the attack in her hometown and said the past week’s events in Dublin have been “scary”.
“It was so disturbing to see footage of the attack unfold and a terrified child’s voice calling out to her dad for help in the background,” wrote Claudine in her column in The Star.
“It’s heart-breaking to think an innocent child had to go through this ordeal. Since then, another man has been killed in a revenge attack,” she said.

The model admitted that she the hopes the tensions and “brutality” in Dublin will be tackled by the Gardai in the coming weeks to spare innocent people.
“Whatever these gangs are into, it’s scary that they are so ruthless to kill in such public places where innocent people are in danger.”
