Distraught woman appeals for the return of her stolen wedding and engagement rings
A woman has said she is "upset" and desperate to get her wedding and engagement rings back after her car was broken into.
Jane Deering's bags - which held her wedding and engagement rings - were robbed from the boot of her locked car.
The incident happened around 4.30pm on Wednesday after Jane and a friend went for a run in Dublin's Phoenix Park.
They had parked their cars near the Fifteen Acres and were gone for about 40 minutes.
When they returned, the back left window of their car was broken and their bags were missing.
Janes said her black handbag, a Jansport bag and her silver heart shaped bag - which contained a green wallet with no money inside - were taken.
The green wallet also contained her concealed wedding and engagement rings which she claims were “very well hidden”.
Jane hopes the wallet has been discarded in the park as the thieves could have found nothing of value in it.
“I’m still convinced that they’re stuck in the wallet somewhere,” she said about the rings.
Her friend’s handbag with sponsorship money from the Women's Mini Marathon was also taken.
“I know it’s not the biggest deal in the world but I'm still upset,” said Jane.
Jane asked listeners of the Ray D'Arcy Show to inform her if they find the ring in that area.
If found please contact the Ray D'Arcy Show or Cabra Garda Station.
