'Disruptive' passenger forces Tenerife-bound flight to divert to Shannon Airport

A flight bound for Tenerife was forced to divert to Shannon Airport after a passenger became "disruptive" on board.
The Thomas Cook A330 airline was travelling from Oslo, Norway to the Spanish island of Tenerife when it was forced to divert to Shannon.
A spokesperson for Shannon Airport said the "disruptive passenger was detained by gardai" when the flight landed at 12.10pm this afternoon.
The man, understood to be a Latvian national in his late 20s, was arrested at the scene and taken to Shannon Garda station for questioning.
He was later released without charge.
The flight continued its onward journey to Tenerife at 1.35pm.
