Jo (33) and Paul (34) Casey cycled 39,000 across the globe but their journey stalled last weekend as they flew into the Co Clare airport to find their belongings had gone missing.

The couple, originally from Kent in England, arrived in Ireland on Friday on an Aer Lingus flight from Edinburgh but they had to spend the weekend searching for their property.

They described the situation as “a nightmare”.

They issued an appeal through social media and Independent.ie and less than 24 hours later the enthusiasts were reunited with their lost property.

The couple took to social media again this morning where they posted happy pictures of the goods being delivered.

Jo wrote: "WOOHOO! Once again, THANK YOU! The bikes and bags have finally arrived.

"Turns out, they hadn't even left New York until yesterday but the media attention was enough to kick everyone into action! Over the moon."
