There could be delays for commuters in the capital following the collision.

AA Roadwatch said on their website: "There is a collision on the M1 northbound at J4 Donabate blocking the left and middle lanes. Take care."

It is not yet known if anyone was injured in the incident.

AA Roadwatch has also advised that a breakdown on the M50 northbound at Junction 5 Finglas is blocking the hard shoulder and the left lane.
