Cocaine worth €70k and gun seized in Dublin premises, man (30s) arrested

Gardaí have seized a gun and drugs worth an estimated €70,000 as part of an operation on Tuesday night.

The discovery was made during a planned search of a premises at Tolka Estate, Glasnevin at approximately 9pm.

One man, mid 30s, was arrested a short time later in the Finglas area.

He is currently detained at Finglas Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Earlier gardaí in Ronanstown confirmed that they had arrested the man in his late forties after they searched a premises at a shopping centre in Clondalkin.

The planned search was carried out yesterday afternoon at 2pm.

Gardaí seized 2.65kgs of suspected cocaine during the raid.

Other drug paraphernalia was located and seized during follow up searches.

The man was arrested at scene and is currently detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
