The body of a yachtsman missing at sea has been found off the Donegal coast.
Michael Green, who was in his 60s, was reported missing six days ago by family who hadn’t heard from him for more than a week, said Gardai.
Last night Mulroy Coast Guard recovered a body off Downings, in Sheephaven Bay.
It was found off rocks near the Rosapenna Hotel.
It was 2kms across the bay far from where his yacht was found anchored last weekend.
A dinghy used to ferry passengers between the mainland and the coast was damaged, said Gardai.
The body has been taken to Letterkenny General Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out later today.
Mr Green was originally from Rathmullan in Donegal but had been living in England for several years before returning earlier this year.
