Body of man (in his 40s) discovered at his home in Dublin

The body of a man in his 40s has been discovered in a house in Dublin.

His remains were found at the address on Glendhu Road, off the Navan Road, in Cabra this afternoon.

It is understood that a caller to the man's home at approximately 4pm made the discovery.

He is believed to have sustained head injuries.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body remains at the house.

Gardai are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery.

The Office of the State Pathologist has been contacted and the area has been sealed off for a technical examination.

This examination is expected to continue tomorrow.
