Bank holiday traffic chaos as bus overturns on busy tourist road

Gardaí are at the scene of an accident in West Kerry after a bus overturned this afternoon.
The incident took place on the Dingle/Tralee Road near the Lispole GAA pitch at around 12.10pm this afternoon.

Nobody is believed to have been seriously injured in the crash which took place as thousands of holidaymakers were looking to return home after the weekend away.
Heavy traffic was reported in the area.
The AA confirmed that gardaí were at the scene and a stop/go system was in place.
A garda spokesman confirmed tonight that a Mercedes V2 bus was in collision with a car. The bus struck a ditch and went on its side at Deerpark, Lispole before falling on its side.

Roads in nearby Slea Head were also moving slowly this evening after reports of flooding along the coastal route.
