Banish those Monday blues! Dublin will be as hot as Barcelona this week

If your holidays seem like an age away this morning - fear not - as temperatures are set to soar as high as 22 degrees this week.
Except bare legs, vest tops and a LOT of red skin as we enjoy sunshine that matches the heat of Spanish city tourist spots.
After a misty night, today's mercury is set to rise to 21 degrees today, making the Monday blues that little bit warmer.
The southwest of the country might see a scattered shower or too - but widespread sunshine will be the norm nationwide.
Fog clearing soon. Many areas dry & sunny apart from the odd shower later.Max temp widely 20C,a few degrees lower in N NW & East coasts.— Met Éireann (@MetEireann) May 30, 2016
And despite some northwesterlies, tomorrow will be another scorcher at peak 22 degrees - as hot as Barcelona.
The rest of the week promises to impress also - with Thursday predicted to be the only dull day.
Some sea breezes will keep those sunbathing at the coastlines nicely cooled but absolutely warmer than we're used to.
And keep those hopes raised for a prolonged stretch of sun as the glorious weather may stay with us as far as next weekend.
According to Met Eireann, current indications suggest the warm spell will persist into next weekend, possibly with even higher temperatures.
