Arrests following two brutal stabbings in Dublin at weekend

GARDAI have made arrests in relation to two brutal stabbing incidents in Dublin's city centre on the weekend.
A man in his 30s was brutally stabbed in the side and face near a nightclub in Dublin on Saturday.
The incident happened after 7:30pm.
The man was approached and assaulted by two men outside a nightclub on Cope Street, before he fled the scene but was then stabbed multiple times in the face and abdomen on Anglesea Street.
He was taken to St James Hospital where his injuries are thought to be serious.
A second serious stabbing incident also occured on the same night at around 7:30pm, where a man in his mid 20s was approached by a group of youths and stabbed in the side and face.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A man was arrested last night and a further two men arrested this morning under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
All of the men arrested are aged in their late teens to early 20’s.
Investigations are continuing and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact the incident room at Pearse St. Garda Station.
