Are you the happy bunny that scooped last night's €10m Lotto jackpot?
Easter weekend winning ticket was purchased in Trim, Co Meath
Bank Holiday weekends don't get any better than this.
One lucky punter is the owner of the coveted winning ticket of last night's €10.6m Lotto jackpot.
Although the ticket holder's identity has yet to be revealed, the Easter hunt is currently being narrowed down.
The location of the shop that sold the ticket has been revealed at Souhan’s Filling Station on Haggard Street in Trim, Co. Meath.
The owner of the store that sold the winning €10.6m Lotto ticket said the local town is a rife with whispers as to who the country’s newest multi-millionaire winner might be.
Darren Souhan, who runs the family petrol station with his siblings, said he was pleasantly surprised when he was informed that they had sold the lucky €4 quick pick ticket in the store yesterday.
“We got a phonecall last night. I found out around 9pm when the National Lottery rang us. So there is great speculation as to who won it,” the 41-year-old said.
“All we know is that it was a €4 ticket and it was bought yesterday but they won’t tell us the time or anything.”
Mr Souhan said that the filling station is based in the large tourist town and “would be very busy… so we would literally have no idea who it is because there would be so many people in and out all day.”
Adding: “It’s definitely not me!”
“There’s definitely whispers around the shop this morning, but I have heard six or seven names. Nobody really knows as far as I am concerned, it is all speculation.”
Some 42,000 players won cash prizes in last night's draw but only one winner of the full jackpot.
Two of those won Match 5 plus Bonus prizes which are worth a considerable €25,000 each.
The numbers of the main draw last night were 30, 31, 32, 35, 37, 40 and the bonus number was 44.
