Aldi stores all around the country have recalled a fajita kit due to the presence of undeclared nuts.

The package concerned is the budget supermarket's 475kg Fiesta Dinner Kits.

The presence of nuts was not included in the information on the allergy advice label on the box.

Aldi has identified that the seasoning mix contains low levels of almond protein. This is not declared within the allergy advice on the label,” said the Irish Food Safety Authority in a statement.

“The presence of Almond Protein was undeclared on the label.”

Customers are advised not to eat the contents in the seasoning mix if they suffer from nut allergies.

Aldi has advised that a full refund will be given back to anyone who purchased the food kit.
