Newman invested €84,000 during time in Den
SARAH Newman starred in two series of the hit TV investment programme 'Dragon's Den' and spent €84,500 buying stakes in four companies.
She did not buy into any businesses in the first series, which ran in 2009.
All of her investments were made in the second series last year.
She pitched for an investment in a fifth business, but was turned down.
Her biggest investment was €32,500 for a 20pc stake in Brooke & Shoals scented candles.
She also spent €30,000 for one-fifth of a waste reduction product called Bin Trasher along with fellow Dragon Bobby Kerr.
The Trasher is a gadget that compacts waste and gives up to 40pc more space in a wheelie bin.
A further €20,000 bought her a 20pc stake in Handcraft Hurleys -- an online store selling hurleys across the globe.
The smallest investment was €2,000 in Fair Fairies, which is a mother-and-baby fair held in the RDS.
Ms Newman was replaced by publisher Norah Casey for the latest series.
