THE contribution of Hilary Beirne, New York City's St Patrick's Day parade chief, at the recent 'Made in Ireland' conference provided food for thought.
He spoke of how a staggering $800,000 (€600,000) is raised for the parade in New York each year, how no advertiser or social/political movements are allowed partake and underlined the importance of forging relationships with the media.
Launching the new 'Ireland Inspires' cultural strategy 2012-2016 at the event, organisers are eager to speak to Irish people involved in the arts in the UK. They are asked to email email@example.com for more information or call 020 7520 3134.
