THE Government is to fast-track a batch of measures to cut red tape and costs for small businesses.
A cheaper and quicker way to enter examinership and online filing with the Companies Registration Office will be approved by Cabinet today.
The Coalition is also going to bring in a levy on auditing firms to improve the quality assurance aspects of the watchdog for the sector.
The legislation is going to be enacted next year, but a number of measures are going to be brought forward to this year.
The proposed legislation will amend examinership provisions for small private companies.
And a more efficient electronic filing of accounts with the CRO will cut accountancy and professional fees.
