New Green leader to be decided today
John Gormley's replacement as Green Party leader will be announced later today.
Mr Gormley resigned after the Greens' disastrous performance in the February which saw the party's representation in the Dail fall from six seats to none.
The three candidates, who have been canvassing party members for the last few months, are the former minister for Communications, Energy and Natural resources Eamon Ryan, the former mayor of Kilkenny Cllr Malcolm Noonan, and Phil Kearney, a member of the party's national executive, who ran for the Greens in Dublin Central in the general election.
Every member of the Green party is entitled to a vote in the leadership election, which is being conducted by postal ballot.
