GARDAI investigating the baffling case of Monica Riordan, who disappeared on Christmas week, revealed last night that they have a confirmed sighting of her in a disoriented and confused state on the night she went missing.
The initial last sighting of Monica (39), from Navan, Co Meath, was on Holles Street around 11am on Tuesday, December 20.
But gardai are now hoping that a confirmed sighting of her on Pearse Street, at the Macken Street junction, at 5pm later that day may help to solve the mystery of her disappearance.
Gardai are anxious to talk to anyone who saw any lone woman fitting the description of Monica in the Macken St/ Pearse St/Grand Canal Quay area of Dublin 2 between 4.30pm and 6pm on that day.
