New arrest made in Dunne murder probe

GARDAI are keeping the family of the slain crime boss Eamon 'The Don' Dunne informed, as they continue to probe his murder, an inquest has been told.

Dunne (34), from Dunsoghly Drive, Ratoath Road in Finglas, was gunned down at the Fassaugh House pub in Cabra as he attended a 40th birthday party.

Requesting a further adjournment of the inquest into the death yesterday, Detective Inspector Francis Sweeney said that the inquiry was still active with an arrest made as recently as last week.

He said that the family, who had previously complained about the delay in setting the date for a full hearing, were not present in court but had been kept informed.

Coroner Brian Farrell adjou-rned the inquest to May 24.
