MORE than 150 jobs are to be created after NAMA gave the go-ahead for a cinema and shopping complex.
A further 150 jobs will be generated during the construction of the complex, which is an extension of the Scotch Hall centre in Drogheda, Co Louth.
The centre opened in 2005 and was developed by Galway-based Edward Holdings. Work on the second phase of the project was halted in 2008.
Edward Holdings had originally planned to build a cinema, a food court and shops there.
NAMA has now decided to release €20m to allow a scaled-down version of the project including an eight-screen cinema, food hall and retail complex over three storeys to be completed.
Construction work is due to start next spring.
