THE family of murdered teenager Daniel McAnaspie, who died while in HSE care, is preparing for his funeral next week.
The body of the 17-year-old is due to be released to his family in Finglas, Co Dublin, this weekend.
His remains will be removed to the Church of the Annunciation in Finglas on Monday evening, ahead of a funeral Mass the following morning. He will then be laid to rest at Glasnevin Cemetery.
The family has asked that, instead of flowers, mourners make a donation to the Fr Peter McVerry Trust, which supports young homeless people in Dublin.
The teenager, who had absconded from HSE care in the past, had been missing since late February. His body was found by a farmer at Rathfeigh, Co Meath, on May 13. He had been stabbed six times.
