Murder probe into suspicious death of Donegal man Seamus Doherty (67)

GARDAI have launched a murder probe into the suspicious death of a Donegal man.

Seamus Doherty (67) was pronounced dead at a house at Drumacnoo, near the village of Churchill, Co Donegal after Gardai and emergency services received a call at 1.50am on Sunday morning last.



Following a post-mortem examination carried out by the State Pathologist Professor Marie Cassidy yesterday, it was established that Mr Doherty had died in suspicious circumstances.



An incident room has been set up at Letterkenny Garda Station and Gardai have begun a murder investigation.



The scene remains preserved pending a full forensic and technical examination.
