Munster fans make their way to Paris

THE recession may have taken its toll on the Red Army but 300 hardcore Munster supporters are expected to make their way to Paris for this Saturday's Heineken Cup match.

The rugby team begins this season's campaign against Racing Metro at the Stade de France. Following last weekend's loss to Leinster, supporters will be hoping for an upturn in fortunes in Paris.

In the days of the Celtic Tiger, chartered flights to bring Munster supporters to matches across European venues were the norm. However, numbers have waned and there are still two seats on the flight with the Munster team departing from Shannon tomorrow.
