A motorist has been killed and two people injured in a car crash.
The accident happened on the N4 near Drumfin, Co Sligo, at approximately 8.30pm on Monday night.
Gardai said a man in his late 20s was killed when the car he was driving collided with a second car.
"He was taken to Sligo General Hospital where he was pronounced dead," gardai said.
"The passenger in his car along with the driver and passenger in the second car were all taken to Sligo General Hospital with injuries described as minor.
"This stretch of road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by garda forensic collision investigators and local diversions are in place."
Gardai in Sligo have appealed for witnesses.
