Mother and daughter rushed to hospital after three car collision

A mother and daughter have been rushed to hospital after a three car collision in Co Louth this evening.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the road traffic collision involving three cars, on the R173 , Gyles Quay at approximately 3.30pm.

A mother and daughter, who were in one of the cars, were taken to Drogheda hospital. The younger female was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The male occupant of the second vehicle was also taken to hospital.

No injuries were reported from the third vehicle.

Diversions are in place locally and investigations are on ongoing.
