Missing teen Kathryn (17) located 'safe and well' in Northern Ireland

Gardai in Athy are appealing to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 17 year-old Kathryn Holligan.
Tammy Duggan (16) was last seen on Friday.

A TEENAGE girl who had been missing since Wednesday evening has been located safe and well.

"Kathryn Holligan has been located safe and well in Northern Ireland," gardai said in a statement.

"No further media action is required. Gardaí wish to thank the public, media and the Police Service of Northern Ireland for their assistance, which is much appreciated.

The teenager has been missing from her home in Chanterlands, Athy, Co. Kildare since Wednesday evening. 

There has been a reported sighting of Kathryn - in Derry City on Thursday afternoon. She was in the company of a boy, who has been described as in his late teens. 

Meanwhile, gardai in Macroom Co Cork are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 16-year old Tammy Duggan.

Tammy was last seen on Friday.

She is described as being  5’ 2'' tall, slim build, with brown shoulder length hair and brown/green eyes.

When last seen she was wearing a black jacket and faded blue jeans.
