Missing pensioner found safe

A pensioner suffering from dementia who had been missing for two days has been found safe and well.

Joan Mulhall (69) turned up at St Vincent's Hospital in Fairview, north Dublin, late on Saturday night.

She had last been seen at the same location on Richmond Road on Thursday afternoon.

She was known to the hospital, which specialises in psychiatric illness and care for elderly dementia sufferers.

However, it is not clear if Ms Mulhall had been a full-time patient or an outpatient at the hospital at the time of her disappearance.

Gardai at Clontarf garda station were notified of her discovery yesterday morning; while a Facebook page, Find Joan Mulhall, thanked all of those who had raised awareness about her disappearance.
