Missing nursing home man found dead

The PSNI has confirmed that human remains found in Belfast are those of a missing pensioner

The body of a north Belfast pensioner who went missing from a nursing home more than two months ago has been found, police have confirmed.

Harry Warwick, who suffered from dementia, left the home in the city's Upper Crumlin Road in December.

The disappearance of the 78-year-old prompted major searches involving police, relatives and members of the local community.

Police have confirmed that human remains found 10 days ago in the Mill Valley Road area, which is less than mile from the nursing home, was Mr Warwick.

The pensioner's family have been informed.

Police thanked all those who were involved in the searches for Mr Warwick.
