IT WILL be both a family and working New Year for Miriam O'Callaghan.
The RTE broadcaster will present the annual festive programme, bringing it live from the streets of Dublin for the first time.
She told the Irish Independent that her festive season wouldn't be complete without her annual television countdown special.
This will be the mother of eight's second time at the helm of 'New Year's Eve Live'. The show will air from outside the RTE studio.
O'Callaghan is hoping to bring her family along. She said: "If you're not with your children on New Year's Eve, that's not great, in my view."
She was speaking at the launch of Bewley's on Grafton Street's Christmas exhibition in aid of Temple Street Children's Hospital.
The 'Prime Time' presenter said: "It's a great charity and especially at Christmas, organisations need help."
A total of 150 figurine pieces were handmade by sculptor Paddy Campbell for the street exhibition.
