Ministers will have to pay part of mileage bill
MINISTERS will have to pay the bill for 10pc of the mileage covered by their ministerial cars to account for "personal use".
The decision follows a review of ministerial transport.
Cabinet ministers lost their Garda drivers and State cars last year.
Instead they use their own cars and employ civilian drivers paid for by the taxpayer.
Under the new system, ministers will have to deduct 10pc of the mileage each month for personal use.
