A memorial service celebrating the life of journalist Alan Ruddock, who died last May, has been held in London.
The service was attended by his family as well as former Fleet Street colleagues of Mr Ruddock, including 'Sunday Times' editor John Witherow and the 'Sky News' presenter Jeff Randall.
The service took place at St Bride's, the journalists' church set in the heart of Fleet Street.
Mr Ruddock, who was 49, lived in Tullow, Co Carlow, and wrote on politics and sport for the 'Sunday Independent'.
The service heard reflections on Mr Ruddock's life from some of his close friends, including former journalist Rory Godson.
Mr Ruddock worked for the 'Sunday Times' in London for five years and launched the paper's Irish edition.
