McFadden jets in for his daughters' communion
Former Westlife star Brian McFadden flew into Dublin this weekend to celebrate the First Holy Communion of both his daughters.
The singer, who has had a much publicised battle with ex-wife Kerry Katona over the welfare of their children, was joined by his family and friends at the Church of the Nativity in Beaumont, Dublin, yesterday.
After the mass, McFadden spoke about the emotion he felt while watching Molly, 8, and Lilly-Sue, 7, at the service.
"I was very proud of my girls. I remember making my communion and it was overwhelming to see my own girls standing there today."
He also described how his "beautiful" daughter Lilly-Sue fell asleep during the Mass and quipped: "She's just like her dad".
The family then went back to his mother Mairead's house where they celebrated the occasion with a private party.
The girls' mother, former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona, was not present for the occasion.
The 29-year-old has been trying to put her struggles with cocaine and binge- eating behind her since splitting with her second husband Mark Croft.
