Maternity hospital warns mums about 'urban foxes' on their grounds
EXPECTANT mums in a maternity hospital are being warned about wild foxes on its grounds.
Signs have gone up on the grounds of the Rotunda Hospital, one of the country’s busiest hospitals.
The signs, which are located in outdoor areas of the hospital’s campus, urge patients to “keep doors and windows closed”.
The signs say that foxes “may look cute, but they are wild” and “inquisitive animals”.
They also urge people not to feed them.
The signage states a family of urban foxes – a mother, father and two cubs – “have recently been seen walking/playing in the grounds of the Rotunda”.
A spokesperson for the hospital said there have been no attacks but they don’t people feeding them or encouraging contact.
