Man's body found at Tipperary farmyard

Bobby Ryan who has been missing for almost two years.

A MAN's body has been found at a farmyard in Tipperary.

While garda investigations are at an early stage, officers have closed off the farm and house at Fawnagown, just outside Tipperary town.

It is believed the remains are that of missing man Bobby Ryan (52).

The area has been preserved for technical and forensic examination. The State Pathologist's office and local coroner have been notified.

Mr Ryan (52) from Cashel, Co Tipperary has not been seen since the morning of June 3, 2011.

His daughter Michelle found her father’s Citroen van at Bansha Woods, Co Tipperary on the day he disappeared.

Despite numerous searches of the surrounding region, Mr Ryan was never found.

While working as a truck driver, Mr Ryan who also worked as a DJ was well known across  Tipperary by his stagename ‘Mr Moonlight’.
