Man with 'firearm' threatens staff during post office raid

A man believed to be armed with a firearm, threatened staff and made off with a sum of money during a post office raid.

According to gardai, the man entered the Blarney post office at approximately 1:45pm and demanded cash from staff.

Staff members were threatened with the firearm but no injuries were reported.

The man fled the scene on foot with cash.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination.

The man was wearing a black Adidas hoodie and tracksuit bottoms with stripes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact gardai.
