IS this the country's biggest full Irish breakfast? A pub in Athlone attracted the star of hit show Man V Food to take on its 8,000 calorie breakfast.
Randy Santel was at the Murphy's Law pub in Athlone to take on its breakfast challenge.
The rules of the pub's challenge are simple - finish the mammoth breakfast in 30 minutes or less and you eat for free.
Missouri man Santel is believed to only be the second person to defeat the food feast.
He took on local man Andrew Coq in the challenge, however the calorie stuffed breakfast was too much for the local.
It is recommended the average man consume 2,500 calories per day - meaning the breakfast has over three days worth of calories.
Santel praised the local man on Facebook, saying: "Thank you to Andrew for making a very good attempt!! Challenges are always more fun when you get to eat with other people."
The mammoth meal includes:
4 slices of brown bread
4 pieces of black pudding
4 pieces of white pudding
4 fried eggs
4 grilled tomato halves
4 hash browns
Portion of beans
