Man shot dead at Limerick petrol station

A man was shot dead in an early-morning attack, gardai said today.

The shooting took place at a Topaz filling station on the Ennis Road, about three miles from Limerick city, at about 6.30am.

The victim was a 35-year-old delivery man.

Gardai said the man's body remained at the scene and the State Pathologist's office has been called in.
