Man seriously wounded in shooting in Dublin housing estate

GARDAI are investigating after a Dublin man was shot in the leg and arm this evening.

The man, who is in his 20s, is recovering in hospital after the drive-by shooting at Ferrycarrig Park, Coolock.

It is understood the incident happened at approximately 6.45pm.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A garda spokesman said the victim of the shooting presented himself for treatment at Beaumont Hospital.

The scene of the shooting has been sealed off by gardai as a full examination of the scene is to be carried out.
