Man seriously injured after early morning assault

GARDAI have appealed for witnesses after a men was seriously injured in an assault on Camden Street, Dublin.

The incident occurred at 4am this morning.

The man, a French national, and two of his friends  were involved in a row with three other men, who are believed to be in their twenties.

The injured man was taken to St James' Hospital with a head injury. The three suspects left the scene in the direction of Rathmines.

The scene of the incident is sealed off for forensic technical examination and a Garda investigation is underway.

Anyone who was in the Camden Street area between 4am and 5am is asked to contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 666 9400.
