A young man is recovering after he was rescued by emergency services when his foot became stuck in a drain in the river Dodder.
Two units from the Dublin Fire Brigade were called to the scene at Milltown Bridge in South Dublin Sunday afternoon after passers-by raised the alarm after hearing the man’s (30s) cry for help.
It is unclear how long the man was trapped in the river but he was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for hypothermia.
Independent.ie understands that he is recovering well and has since been released.
