Man questioned after explosion

Detectives from the PSNI's Serious Crime Branch are investigating an explosion in Larne

A man has been questioned about an explosion linked to dissident republicans at a ferry port in Northern Ireland.

Police also said a number of items had been recovered as part of the operation in Larne, Co Antrim where a 23-year-old man was arrested.

The blast in the town's Britannia Crescent area on Wednesday night caused damage to a fence.

There was another security alert in the same area on Thursday following a report of a suspicious object.
