Man killed in collision between car and two articulated lorries

A MAN has been killed after the car he was driving was involved in a collision with two articulated lorries.

The accident occurred on the N5 at Knockbrack at around 5pm.

The deceased man is aged in his 30s.

Both drivers of the lorries have been taken to hospital in a serious condition, however both are expected to survive.

The scene is currently preserved for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
