Man in serious condition after being shot in Dublin house named locally

GARDAI are investigating a shooting incident in south Dublin in the early hours of this morning in which a man in his 30s was shot at a number of times.

It is understood Jason Kearns (30), of Stannaway Road, Crumlin, was shot at a number of times and suffered two bullet wounds in the incident.

The shooting happened at a house in Crumlin at approximately 2.40am.

Mr Kearns was removed to St. James Hospital. His condition is described as serious.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and the matter is under investigation.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Sundrive Road/Stannaway Road area between 2am-3am to contact Sundrive Garda Station 01-6666600, The Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
