Hi °C | Lo °C A MAN is to appear in court today on a charge of attempting to murder his partner in their home in south Co Dublin last year.
The suspect was arrested last week in Hamburg in Germany on an European arrest warrant.
The victim, who is from Lithuania, sustained serious head injuries.
The woman is still undergoing medical treatment and her condition is said to be slightly improved.
A European arrest warrant was issued after the DPP said the man should be charged.
Following his detention last week, two detectives were sent to Germany on Wednesday and escorted the 43-year-old suspect back to Dublin last night.
The man is due to appear at Tallaght court this morning.
