Man held over murder of Polish mother

A MAN has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Polish mother of two after he was released from hospital.

The body of Aleksandra Sarzynska (31) was discovered in her apartment at Bective House, Navan, Co Meath, a week ago yesterday. It is believed she had been strangled.

Gardai have arrested a 36-year-old man for questioning.

The mother of two young sons, one aged three and the other less than a year old, had posted her delight online about only being a few days away from becoming an Irish citizen.

Members of her family had travelled over from Poland after learning of her death.

Ms Sarzynska had lived in Ireland for several years and was known in the community, as she worked in a discount supermarket.
